Christmas by the Lake

23rd December

Pick up at Albury Railway Station and transport to Tallangatta Motor Inn to enjoy a home-cooked dinner.

24th December (Christmas Eve)

Breakfast 8am | Bus departs 9:45am

We tour down to the King Valley wine region, enjoying morning tea along the way. We will continue onto the small town of Whitfield and Cheshunt, enjoying a famous Italian wine tasting. We will then check out the spectacular Lake William Hovell before touring our way back up towards Albury, stopping along the Ovens River for afternoon tea.

We then head to the Thurgoona Golf Club for dinner, and after dark, tour Albury Christmas lights before heading home to our rooms at the Tallangatta Motor Inn.

25th December (Christmas Day)

Today you enjoy a light continental breakfast in the morning at your leisure, before our hearty luncheon begins at 11:30am. With cold and hot meats and a feast to keep you going all day, Santa will pop in to share a stealing Santa bit of fun for all. We will enjoy some relaxation in the afternoon, before a cold meats and salad dinner in the evening.

26th December (Boxing Day)

Breakfast 8am | Bus departs 9am

Today you again enjoy a light continental breakfast in the morning at your leisure. We journey towards the riverside town of Mitta for a hearty morning tea, and up to Lightning Creek for a morning tea where the 2 creeks meet (Snowy and Lightning) and then continue to the famous Blue Duck Inn enjoying a picnic lunch on the Snowy River. We then travel back via the beautifully restored Laurel Hotel at Mitta for nibbles and a drink. After a long day of driving and eating you will be served a light dinner in your rooms to eat at your leisure.

27th December

Breakfast 7:45am | Bus departs 8:45am

We go to the top of Tallangatta’s lookout to take in one last glimpse of this fabulous region before heading to Albury to visit the famous Peard’s Nursery Cafe. We then say our goodbyes and drop you at the train station. You will be provided with a lunch pack to take with you on your transport home.
