Day 1

Pick up at Albury Railway Station and transport to Tallangatta Motor Inn to enjoy a home-cooked dinner.

Day 2

Today we journey towards Bright, enjoying morning tea on the banks of the Ovens River amongst the mountains. We will also have lunch at Bright and enjoy some time walking around this gorgeous township before heading to tour the township of Wandiligong. The whole town is now registered with the National Trust as a classified landscape and features historical buildings such as the Manchester Unity public hall (built in 1874), the general store, several churches and a number of quaint cottages We finish with afternoon tea along the Ovens river in Porepunkah, before heading home to a home cooked dinner at the Tallangatta Motor Inn.

Day 3

Today we travel to the fantastic King Valley wine region. We will go via Milawa for a visit to the famous cheese factory. After lunch along the King River we will go to a local King Valley winery for some fine wine tasting. We then tour the region on a bus, heading to the Lake Hovell Dam amongst other sites. We then head home for a home cooked meal in Tallangatta.

Day 4

We tour to Mount Beauty, a small town resting against the Kiewa River. After morning tea, we travel to Bogong Village, comprising of twenty-six historic houses originally built for the workers on the Kiewa hydroelectric scheme.  Bogong Village sits on the side of a spectacular valley overlooking Junction Dam and Lake Guy, with the Victorian Alps sitting statuesque in the distance.  Here we enjoy lunch, before strolling through the beautiful seasonal European gardens nestled in the Alpine National Park.  In the afternoon, we do some sight-seeing around Mt Beauty, before heading back to Tallangatta for a home cooked meal.

Day 5

We travel to Yackandandah for morning tea and a look around this quaint town. We then head to the historic gold-mining town of Beechworth, taking a tour on the bus around the town and some time in the township itself. After lunch, we go to the magnificent town of Stanley, with differing sights of the autumn leaves. We then head up to the Mt Stanley lookout for breathtaking views of the indigo region, before heading back to Tallangatta for dinner.

Day 6

After breakfast at the Tallangatta Motor Inn we say our farewell’s. The bus then takes you for a visit to the famous Peard’s Nursery Café before dropping you at the train station for your journey home!
